Two Creality enclosures have listed sizes big enough to consider for a large printer. The Creality 3D Printer Multifunction Enclosure in Large (Amazon search) measures 70 x 75 x 90 cm. The Creality 3D Printer Enclosure Plus (Amazon search) measures 1000 x 800 x 1000 mm, and Creality lists it for the CR-M4.

Neither should be bought on build volume alone. A printer that produces a 300 mm part can need much more than 300 mm of enclosure depth once a moving bed, rear cable loop, top spool, camera arm and service access are included. Creality publishes only the overall product size for these enclosures, not internal dimensions.

Large format also doesn’t mean enclosure-ready. The Bambu Lab A2L fit review is a current example: its official operating-clearance plan approaches 0.9 m front to back, while Bambu keeps the printer open frame and explicitly excludes a laser module.

Quick decision

Pick Creality’s listed size Fit Creality states Vent port or light Buy it when
Multifunction Enclosure (Large) 70 x 75 x 90 cm No printer list for this size Not listed Your printer at full travel fits the listed size
Enclosure Plus 1000 x 800 x 1000 mm CR-M4 Not listed You own a CR-M4 or need the bigger footprint

Creality describes both as flame retardant. Treat that as the maker’s material claim, not permission to leave a printer unattended or proof of a rated fire-containment system. Keep the power switch reachable, follow the printer maker’s operating guidance and keep working smoke detection in the room.

Measure the moving printer, not the printed part

Take measurements with the printer powered off. Move the bed and toolhead through their full safe range by hand where the manufacturer permits it, then add the parts that listings often ignore:

  • The bed at its furthest front and rear positions
  • Rear strain relief, power cable, data cable and filament sensor wiring
  • Spool holder, filament guide, reverse-Bowden tube or top-mounted dryer
  • Camera, light bar and tool storage
  • Space for the front flap or door to open
  • Clearance to remove a flexible plate and lift out the largest intended part
  • Reach to the power switch and plug without moving the enclosure

Creality doesn’t say which of its three figures is width, depth or height, so check your printer’s measurements against each orientation. Leave service clearance rather than making the shell touch the machine. An enclosure that closes but must be taken apart for a nozzle change or first-layer check won’t stay useful.

1. Creality Multifunction Enclosure (Large): for big open-frame printers

Creality’s Multifunction Enclosure comes in Small (48 x 60 x 72 cm), Medium (73 x 65 x 72 cm) and Large (70 x 75 x 90 cm), and the Large is the size for this page. Creality’s claims for the line are thermal insulation for printing at constant temperature, flame retardant material, waterproof and dustproof construction, reduced printing noise, stable support and easy installation.

Creality’s product page lists no compatible printers for the Large size, so the listed dimensions are the only fit check. It doesn’t list a vent connection, fan or light either. Creality’s US store showed the Large and Medium sizes as out of stock on October 5, 2026.

Buy it if: your printer at full bed and cable travel fits inside 70 x 75 x 90 cm with room to work, and the main job is blocking drafts and keeping warmth steadier.

Skip it if: you need a built-in duct route or light, or your printer is close to the listed size in any direction.

2. Creality Enclosure Plus: for the CR-M4 and other very large printers

The Enclosure Plus is the largest size on Creality’s Multifunction Enclosure page, at 1000 x 800 x 1000 mm. Creality lists the CR-M4 as the compatible model and also sells it on its own product page. Its stated features are effective insulation, flame retardant materials and easy installation.

As with the Large, Creality’s page lists no vent connection, fan or light. It was in stock on Creality’s US store on October 5, 2026.

Buy it if: you own a CR-M4, or another printer that needs more room than the Large size gives.

Skip it if: the Multifunction Large already fits with working clearance. The Plus takes far more floor and bench space.

Heat, noise and fumes are three different jobs

An enclosure can help all three, but it doesn’t solve them the same way.

Heat and drafts

ABS and ASA can benefit from a steadier warm print area. PLA can suffer when too much heat is trapped around the cold side of the hotend. PETG often benefits more from blocking a cold draft than from a high chamber temperature. Follow the printer and filament makers’ guidance rather than treating “warmer” as automatically better.

Keep power supplies and control electronics in the airflow conditions specified by their manufacturer. Moving electronics outside an enclosure is a modification that needs its own safe cable and strain-relief plan.

Noise

Creality says its Multifunction Enclosure reduces printing noise. A cover can soften airborne fan and motor noise, but it can’t isolate vibration traveling through a hollow desk or shelf. Put the printer on a stable bench first.

Fumes and particles

Containment is not removal. Neither Creality enclosure here lists a vent port, so exhaust or filtration needs its own design: fan, hose, outlet and how the hose passes through the enclosure. Sanding filled filament needs dust control even if the printer ran inside an enclosure.

Before you buy

  • Measure maximum bed and cable travel, then compare with Creality’s listed size in every orientation.
  • Confirm spool and filament-tube routing.
  • Leave working room for the build plate and power switch.
  • Decide whether electronics may stay in the enclosed space.
  • Plan any vent hose, fan, outlet and filtration before buying, because neither pick lists a vent port.
  • Keep a smoke detector in the room and don’t leave prints unattended because a listing says “flame retardant.”
  • Treat the enclosure as print-environment equipment, not a filament dryer.

Verdict

Choose the Multifunction Enclosure in Large when your printer at full travel fits inside 70 x 75 x 90 cm with room to work, and check stock first. Choose the Enclosure Plus for a CR-M4 or any printer that needs the 1000 x 800 x 1000 mm size. Plan venting separately for either one.

FAQ

Does a 3D printer enclosure control fumes?

No. An enclosure can contain and direct air, but fume control needs intentional airflow, suitable filtration or exterior exhaust, and a route that does not return the same air to the room.

Do these Creality enclosures have a vent port or light?

Creality’s product pages for the Multifunction Enclosure and the Enclosure Plus don’t list a vent connection, fan or built-in light. Plan any ducting or lighting separately.

Which Creality enclosure fits a large printer?

Creality lists the Multifunction Enclosure in a Large size of 70 x 75 x 90 cm, and the Enclosure Plus at 1000 x 800 x 1000 mm for its CR-M4. Creality’s product page lists no compatible printers for the Large size, so measure your printer at full bed and cable travel and compare it with the listed size.

Will an enclosure help with PETG?

It can reduce cold drafts and abrupt temperature changes, but PETG does not need an aggressively hot chamber. Monitor hotend and electronics temperatures and follow the printer maker’s airflow guidance.

Can an enclosed printer replace a standalone enclosure?

Only by replacing the printer itself. An enclosed printer is a different machine purchase, not a cover for the large printer already on the bench.
